MEGA CARVE FORK- Columbus
Fork made of unidirectional Carbon Fiber oriented according to the direction of the maximum loads and covered with a final layer of 3K.The blades follow the typical design of the Columbus Carve fork which increases the stiffness of the fork and gives more driving precision to the bike in any condition.The main feature of Mega fork is the head diameter which has been increased to 50 mm in order to improve the distribution of the stress in the headset area hence reducing the wearing of the bearing.The dropouts are forged aluminium 6061 T6.The Mega fork rake is 45 mm, the fork steerer diameter is 28.6 mm.

(High Modulus Carbon Fiber) Bent fork with an aerodynamic profile, designed for races: both chronometer and triathlon. The aerodynamic profile of the fork blades has been designed to increase the efficiency and the stability of the bicycle at high speed (>50 km/h). The side strength of the fork, thanks to the use of the High Modulus Carbon Fiber, has been considerably increased in order to obtain a great precision in the curves and improve the conductivity of the bicycle at the same time.

The Columbus Tusk Cross fork has been especially design for Cyclocross Bicycles. The 45mm diameter fork head is forged in aluminium 6061 T6, with a 1 1/8" steering column in 7075 T6 aluminium reinforced with variable thickness. The oversize fork blades are made in multilayered unidirectional carbon fibre and are integrated with a CNC aluminium reinforcement on the brake pivot. The oversize blade section makes the Tusk cross a strong and reliable fork suitable for competition (and in accordance with the new European EN 14781 and EN 14784 standards)

Carbon fibre is 4 times more resistant than steel and 8 times more resistant than alloy, and thanks to its versatility and sense of direction of the fibres.
